A cultural project that begins with the person

Hamad Hassan Al Tamimi is a Qatari writer, novelist, and journalist whose experience spans government service, culture, and media, with a focus on public awareness, society, and sustainability.

Alongside more than twenty years of government work, he has written over a thousand articles and published several novels. He founded Contemporary Characters to document Qatari and Arab lives; the project now includes five Arabic- and English-language editions and a digital archive of 170+ biographies.

His professional, cultural, and literary work shares one concern: people and the lasting effect of their experiences.
